My Professional Development and Service.
In addition to my research and teaching, I have been involved in higher education organizations such as AERA, ASHE, and CIES, and have presented and chaired multiple times, both virtually and in person. I intend to stay very active at AERA, ASHE, and CIES in the future and will encourage students to stay active in these associations as well.
My Involvement with Academic Journals.
I am currently serving as the Digital Communications Specialist & Social Media Engagement Expert at the Journal of International Students and as a copyeditor for the Journal of Comparative and International Higher Education. In addition, I have peer reviewed multiple articles for the Journal of International Students, the Journal of Comparative and International Higher Education, and The International Review of Research in Open and Distributed Learning.
Expanding my Horizon.
Besides my research, teaching, and service activities, I am actively participating in continuing professional development and learning groups, like the Texas Tech Summer Learning Community on Arts Based Education, and professional development courses offered by Boston College (Marketing and Branding in Higher Education) and NAFSA (Responsive Management for Uncertain Times).
