My name is Sarah Maria Schiffecker, Ph.D. I am passionate about educating myself and others and believe in the power of spreading knowledge. As an international educator, I have made it my mission to increase access to global educational experiences.

Having benefitted from education abroad myself, I am dedicated to enable others to do the same.

Es ist nicht genug, zu wissen, man muss auch anwenden. Es ist nicht genug, zu wollen, man muss auch tun.

[Knowing is not enough; we must apply.
Wanting is not enough; we must do.]
— Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Internationalization

Intercultural Competence

Having been an international student, I deeply care about internationalization of the student body, faculty, and staff. Having had the privilege of pursuing two higher education degrees abroad, I have made it my mission to share the benefits and opportunities for growth an international perspective offers.

As we are navigating increasingly global and interconnected spaces, intercultural competence equips us with a crucial tool to effectively communicate and operate.

Diversity

Diversity is one of the most important assets humanity holds. Ensuring the establishment and fostering of diverse campus populations is one of my main professional and personal goals.
